Title: Diesel injector lines
Post by: shwartzbewithyou on March 20, 2006, 07:02:56 am
I replaced 2 of my injector lines this weekend and noticed that the original lines have a waaayyy smaller I/D than the lines that I used. I think this may be affecting my injection timing on cylinder's #3 and #4. I just got bulk steel tubing to change them out.

Question: Is their specific tubing I should be using for injector lines?  The original had a realllly thick side wall.

you'll want to use the original lines. dealer probably has them, if not the junkyard will... or an aftermarket supplier. put up a want ad i'm sure someone has a used set.

I can't find any online vendors that list them.  Ugh I don't want to have to go to the dealer.

Try ebay,I've seen a few sets on there for sale.

I have some here, but they are kinda needed to go back on motors once they are rebuilt. If your stuck,I could lend you a set until you find some.

That may actually be a good idea because I'm not going to get a chance to go the the wrecker this weekend and they're not open by the time I get off of work in Mississauga and get home to Hamilton.  Plus I'm afraid it may hurt my injector pump if I don't get it done soon.

I'll PM you.

Thanks
