Title: wheels
Post by: bryanbryan89x on March 19, 2006, 11:28:47 am
Does anyone know where i can get some 14''x7'' wheels for my rabbit pick up...I have it lifted it up and now i would like to put some 27"x14'' allterrain tires i have on it.   Wheel adapters are a bit pricey, it would be much easier if i could just find some 4 x100mm wheels.
thanks for any help, Bryan

diamond racing steelies might be an option since you are using such a large tire i doubt they would bend or ding (they are meant to be a track rim, not street)... i see you posted a photo in another thread of a diamond wheel so you must know about them. cheap solution.

stockton in california widens steelies.

i used old gti wheels on my lifted truck,,i had sears 195-70,or75,i cant remember-14,,gave lotsa ground clearance,,,,,bet your size sounds close,,,,,i had to trin the lower part of the front fenders,,and smash in the "pinchweld",that extends from the rocker panel,up into the wheelwell,,mine would rub,,nothing some creative thinking witha bfh,and a hacksaw cant fix,,i know if i went much taller,it woulda been a problem

I have some jetta coils in the front and blocks in the back.  The jetta coils lifted it up quite a ways... and i had rust on my rear fenders so i trimmed them up a inch or so with a die grinder...and i did the front too.  As for the picture of the wheel.  I found it on this website, i dont know where i can get them though...

thats what idid to mine,,a2 front springs,,3 inch blocks in the back,,i did 3 inch longer shackles,,didnt do anything though,,,,oh get a little more lift,,,carefully cut the lower spring perch off,and reweld it up an inch or 2,,i think you can only go about an inch,,,,,,,,watch the right side driveshaft,,it canrub the top of the front control arm mount, especially when on it hard in a right hand corner,,idid make a front suspension limiter, under the control arms,so theywouldnt  rise or top out too much,,have a blast!!
