no gasket you could make one or use rtv.
-
What is normally done? I have gasket material and can make one. Also have RTV. Just wanted to know what other have done.
-
I decided there ought to be a gasket there and made one out of gasket paper. It was pretty easy because it's not a complicated shape and it sealed.
-
I think that is what I'm going to do. I'm waiting some other parts so I just wanted to get some other opinions on it.
-
I never knew that. When I got my first turbo diesel it had a gasket there. And I got another engine with one there, so I have always made my own and coat it with copper spray. Can't say I have had any problems.
-
I have only ever seen RTV used for that seal.
-
Same here.
-
I have always used a skin of RTV Copper there with no issues. There was nothing there when I first pulled mine apart and likewise decided a bit of RTV wouldn't hurt.

i always used a bud light gasket...
