Title: K14 boost pot screw

If a guy were to back out the screw at the end of the boost canister on a K14, wouldn't that allow boost to come on sooner? Or is it entirely dependent on RPMs?

that would allow the valve to open more, but has nothing to do with when the boost comes on. Boost is dependent on heat and rpm

Opening that more will also keep the boost from spiking when using a ball and spring mbc.

Thanks. I do have a ball and spring MBC. Can you elaborate on what "spiking" is?

MBC set to 10 psi, it will "spike" to say 14psi and then come down to 10psi where it is set. I personally haven't seen the spiking resolved with the valve able to open more, but I think that is the function of my MBC not being reactive enough. I have seen it reduce a little bit of "creep" which is MBC set at 10psi and it slowly just keeps creeping until it levels off at whatever psi it chooses, like 18psi, even though it is set for 10psi.
