Title: power steering pumps in MK2 and MKIV
Post by: theman53 on October 28, 2013, 07:11:30 am
From what I can see both have an m16-1.5 threaded port...in theory I am wanting to see if the lines could be bolted onto either pump. The Jeep Wrangler I am working on the pump lines for its power steering will bolt onto the MKIV as I have seen it on another guys build. I have a PS pump from a MK2 and don't want to buy anymore if I don't have to. Also I don't want to make a bracket for the Jeep pump to fit on the VW engine.

mk4 pump and bracket in different place then mk3 and mk2...

for bbob's we used mk3 set up on his mk2/b3... feed line was direct swap even though one was banjo vs threaded line..

the fitting for the banjo vs pressure fitting is just and adpater. banjo uses no adapter.

The position of the bracket I don't care, I just need to know if it was possible to attach the lines from a MKIV to a MK2 pump.
