1 is , by now these older cars must need new hardware(small/medium stuff).3stars,
- paper gaskets, check snugness after 12-24hrs, they seat .

My gun puts em on within 5 lb of spec every time, but I do check with a torque wrench more to be sure I have double checked every lug than anything else.
I've been using my HF tap set for ~10 years, and never traced any problem to it. The HF tap handle on the other hand went in the trash a long time ago.
I have some expensive ones that do a better job of making new threads, but for chasing holes, most any will do the job fine.
Cut the tips off some old ones so you can do full thread to the bottom of the hole too.
