Post by: juggernaut350 on March 12, 2006, 11:54:10 pm
I have a question maybe someone can help me on? I have a mk4 tdi motor injectors and lines. Will a 1.6 idi turbo pump be sufficient fuel pressure for the tdi injectors?

ive got a 12mm head on an idi turbopump,,runs good,,im using kerma 520 race nozzles, but i have some (tuning) issues withmy pump,,,but it runs good other than a wierd qwurk that ive shimmed the intermediate spring on the gov,,but the revs wont drop when spun up past 3000,,,,,i  hate computers because iwork on them all day,so i went low tech mechanical on my ahu tdi in a 79 rabbit,,,kinda like a mechanic has a falling apart car,,,,all in all i believe you can get the same power regardless of electronic or mechanical,,,,get your pumpmodded with a bigger plunger+run it!!!!

this pump had some issues, before all this,so dont let me throw ya off,,you may need a 10mm plunger,,i thought somewhere someone said that a stock idi pumpwill run and drive,,but if you want power, keep dreamin,it wouldnt even make stock tdi hp,,,,,,,but it would run,,
