Title: Need body parts.
Post by: jaed_43725 on August 18, 2013, 12:41:11 am
Anyone know where to get all the rubber molding and such (new preferably)? I am talking the stuff between the door and the body, around the window, hood, trunk, etc. Also looking for body parts, fiberglass, plastic, carbon fiber. Needing hood, trunk, door panels, side panels and anything else that can be replaced with such.

I could keep trying to fix the rust, but its a useless battle when I could just replace it with stuff that cant rust. I also would be open to powder coating some of the pieces I can.

Read the descriptions for Jetta as most all read about the same.  Bought Rabbit seals here and they are holding up well to the coastal rains.  http://stores.ebay.com/Mk1-Autohaus/Door-Body-Window-Seals-/_i.html?_fsub=2&_sid=80631805&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

I have found both sites helpful. That takes care of seals. Anyone know about other body parts, such as rain trays, hoods, etc?

I look to vwvortex for the stuff that isn't specific to diesels. There are tons of people selling mk2 parts there.
