Post by: jlpst94 on August 09, 2013, 11:07:50 am
Anyone know if a gasser oil pain will bolt on a 1.6 diesel block?

Broke a turbo return line on an ecodiesel and need to make it an N/A until I come up with a new turbo setup.

Have you thought about re-welding the oil return?

The return? Just cut the bad piece out and add a rubber oil rated line in with clamps. No pressure there.

I'm gonna replace the eco turbo and pump.  The oil return is different on the TD pumps so I'm just running it as a N/A until I get all of the parts

What oil line do you guys know of that will take that kind of heat?   If I could just clamp something on to replace the braided section I probably would do that rather than take the time to remove everything and weld in a new piece.

I am pretty sure I have seen just the rubber hose.. like used on oil coolers. 300psi stuff.

300 psi hose for power steering at auto Bones is something close to $3/foot.  I used it on my remote oil filter and seems fine with the heat.  does not get soft and droop.

The gasser oil pan bottoms out on the dipstick tube.  F$&# I guess I'll try to cap off my turbo oil pan and use it.
