Title: 92 passat Window issues....
Post by: bbob203 on July 29, 2013, 09:29:46 pm
Was tracing some wiring for the speakers today and troubleshooting the cruise control. Went to roll up my front windows that were down and they wouldn't go up. The box under the back seat would click when i removed and reinstalled the fuse i was finally able to get them up using the key in the door but they wont go down now. Rewind two weeks i noticed when i was in and out of my car (not running) at work getting tools that something was clicking in the back(black box under the seat).. Any ideas?  ???

Not that this is any help,,but those systems were the worse. The motors are all wired in series. Carefully check the wires at the door hinges

#14 fuse was blown. No info I had said anything about it being connected to anything buck backup lights. I found a nice wiring schematic from mitchell on the russian tech site I posted on the general forum. Cruise still doesn't work though.

for your cruise control- check all the vacuum hoses ,including the ones under the dash, from the brake and clutch switches. While under there, use a VOM to check that the brake and clutch switches are adjusted
properly.
