1.9td, straight 2" pip from the K14 back. No muffler
http://www.supermotors.org/getfile/173947//dieselzukbump3.wmv
about 1 meg - it's mostly idling - at the very end I get in and kick it up, you get get to hear the turbo start to spool up. It's not in a VW, but the pipe length should be about the same.

1,6TD, VNT20 and 2,5" pipe with single straight muffler.
The quality of this video is very bad and it is big, ~3,7meg/13sec

ok, another non-diesel (http://www.tomyang.net/cars/275GTB.mpg).

I'd love to hear another clip of Chrissev's 1.6/1.9 on the road & all warmed up.

I love that V12 sound. We had a bunch of Americans doing an exotic car tour last summer. They stayed in Halifax and I went over to listen to them leave in the morining. I was standing beside an older Ferrari Spider when he started it up. He turned to me and said "There's nothing sounds quite like 6 Webers with no chokes on a cool morning".
I must say, I agree fully.  :D

that first movie is of my car before new injectors, diesel purge, and a few other things, i've also cut the fuel back since then.  smoking has decreased alot, but i still have the peppiest n/a around.

and the quickest method to achieve this is?... adjust the fuel pump?  as many posts as there are on this, can i do a quick adjust to add a little more fuel?  i miss the excessive smoke in peoples face :(

The fuel screw will give you a decent boost.Look at Smog's thread on more power for your 1.9L for more info.

i got a 1.6 TD, same system?
Title: different diesel exhaust sounds/videos
Post by: wyldman on March 13, 2006, 10:54:29 pm
Yes,very similar. You won't have to worry about the idle switch on top of the pump. All the other adjustments are the same. You'll probably need to raise your boost as well,to go with the added fuel. With all the right adjustments, you can have a pretty quick car,and still very minimal smoke.

but will i be okay for now with hjust the fuel adjustment?  and boost another day?  i still ahve to get a gauge.

Just turning up the fuel screw a bit will give you some more power.Just turn it until you get some smoke for now,but not too much. You can mess with the rest of it later.

same as mine with the exception thats your is dynomax and mine is flowmaster. I'll have to get a clip of mine once the mTDI is in and running.

On another note! Those are def. PA roads! I miss them so much (from home... Warren, PA)  and enjoy it alot when I come down to that area for shows, etc.
