Title: radiators obsolete at VW dealers
Post by: the caveman on July 15, 2013, 12:16:14 pm
I finally decided to replace the original radiator on my Mk TDI, but they are no longer available here at the dealer, and I'm having prolems finding a Valeo in the aftermarket. I can get a Nissen[???]  for $90, but I'd rather pay more for a better brand. Anyone know where I can get a Valeo or Behr by friday?

Opps-Mk3 1998/1997 GLX. The stupid thing is that when I did the swap i kept the old rad, and  fan housing instead of keeping the ones from the much newer VR6 that I
pulled out . The water pump died last summer in Cape Cod. It had a 1997 production date and 450,000 kms. I got a new condensor and rad fan from VW parts.com outlet center. $39 for the condensor and $40 for the fan and need to change it all this coming weekend.

I got one similar to this. Almost doubles coolant capacity...I know you have a dead line but just throwing it out there.
