Title: I need 6 020 pressure plate to crank bolts
Post by: theman53 on June 30, 2013, 06:02:16 pm
I need these like right now. I have been looking for the past 3 hours for bolts that I cannot find. It is the only thing holding me up, otherwise I would bolt the trans on and it would be in the car. This is what I am looking for and I would need them to be found now and shipped first thing tomorrow, or I will buy this set and pay good for shipping so I get them by Wednesday.

This whole 22 plus 1/4 turn thing is sweet and everything.....

.....just make sure you end up at 74 ft. lbs.

The Bentley for my '81 says 55lbs I think, nothing else. I think the older ones weren't TTY and were reusable.

My issue is which ones did I have? I have had 3 aaz engines and a few 1.6L in the shed. I keep everything. Maybe some of mine were ok to reuse but I would rather be safe than sorry with this. I put some coin into the trans and engine so I don't want a failure because I skimped on a 2.00 bolt. My Bentley is mk2 and says x ft/lbs plus a quarter turn. Just scares me that is all.

Simple:  wait for new bolts.

I've got 3 of the silver big Bentleys and NONE of them make any mention of 22 + 1/4.

What they do say is:  55 lb. for non-shoulders bolt, 74 lb. for shouldered.
I've always gone with the 74 lb. and no failures.

I thought we put this all to rest back when Damac performed his infamous driveway "flame-out."

yep, I will be waiting on new. they should be here tomorrow. I also have the jeep bolts now that are fully threaded m10-1.0x40 that I could cut down. They are socket heads instead of hex heads, but that shouldn't be an issue. I had to buy 100 of them from work but it only cost 32.00. cheaper than 6 from the wal mart of fasteners type stores so if I sell any jeep adapters I will be covered for about 16 swaps.

These bolts are something I go to the dealership for, not sure how fast they can get them.
I do reuse the old shoulderless ones.

All the ones I have are full thread no shoulder. I have them coming. Dealer said they would be 5.xx each. I got them 2nd day air for less than that.
