I believe they are constructed differently for RHD.
Go on ebay and search for "volkswagen mk1 steering rack" Scroll down towards bottom of the page and you should see "items found from ebay international sellers" after the U.S. listings end, of which there should be a number of UK sellers offering RHD parts.

problem is i hate ebay.. rather deal with real person like guy on vortex.. see what he has to say abt that seller so on... that guy can suspend a acct on that forum when he gets dicked round.. so i kinda feel safe trying him.. :P

I would think ebay, with a comprehensive system in place for reviewing sellers and disputing transactions, is much safer than buying something off the vortex. I know vortex makes an attempt to police and moderate the site but people have, in fact, been screwed on vortex. People can appear on vortex and then disappear. Ebay, while the system is not perfect, takes steps to prevent this and to aid in the prosecution of fraud.

I am with you Baja. Unless I am dealing in person and have the ability to beat them down for stealing then I would rather deal with the ebay. I got screwed out of a round hl core support from a guy in Ill. on the tex. never again.

me member now...
and yea vortex screws lots.. so does ebay.. but finding someone willing to ship to the usa.. and not being required to have paypal, a cc, and a bank acct like ebay is best for me..
