Title: Oil port threads on back of AAZ head.
Post by: Jetmugg on June 12, 2013, 08:09:46 pm
Can anyone tell me what the threads are for the oil port on the back of an AAZ head?  Are they 1/8 NPT, or 10mm x 1.0 pitch straight threads?

I'm having a little bit of an issue figuring out what kind of fitting (threads to AN fitting) to use at that location.

I don't know of any "oil ports" on the back of an AAZ head.
The only ports I am aware of (other than intake and exhaust), are both for water.

You are not looking hard enough then....

I'm describing the "back" of the head as the end opposite the camshaft pulley (driver's side when installed in a US spec vehicle in transverse orientation).

After a little more measuring and test fitting, the threads are 10mm x 1.0.  I think that some folks will use 1/8 pipe, but the threads appear to be straight 10 x 1.0.
