Incredibly clean 1991 VW Jetta ECO diesel. 177k and climbing as it is my daily driver. Engine is 100% stock, gets average of 46 mpg. New tires (less than 8k on them) Borbet type h wheels (have the stock wheels as well) Car currently has GLI recaro interior installed which is in very good condition with no ruined bolsters or stains, just a cigarette burn on the driver seat(from previous owner of the seats, i never smoked in the car) The original seats that i have for the car are in even more pristine condition. I installed a different transmission on the car(ACN code) which lowers the RPM's on the highway and is a very sought after transmission for this application. Redline synthetic gear oil in the transmission with proper speedometer gear installed for accurate speedo reading. I havent seen another one of these cars around, let alone one this clean.
Mods:
Genuine VW Turbo diesel Tachometer cluster (Speedometer/odometer swapped into cluster)
VDO Boost gauge
Removed the stock catalytic converter( it was clogged, and car is exempt from emissions in massachusetts)
Performed mufflerectomy (I can install a muffler if you would like)
3 point seat belt conversion ( original was passive restrains; lap belt and separate shoulder belt)
ALL mods can be reverted to stock at buyers request.
This car has absolutely NO RUST.
Recent maintenance includes
Timing belt, Koni yellow shocks/struts with Neuspeed sport springs (i have the stock springs, unknown mileage on the struts and springs, they ride fine) Fresh fuel filter, a coolant flush and a rebuilt alternator straight from bosch. . Oil always changed every 8k with Lubri Moly diesel spec full synthetic, new OEM control arms and bushings.
The ONLY known issues with the car:
The air conditioning did not work when i bought the car but i recently filled it and the ac works great!
The aluminum shift knob and the EGT gauge will not be included. I have a stock shift knob that will go with the car, and i am using the EGT gauge in the golf.
All my extra IDI parts will go with the car, which is a pretty fair amount of stuff. Including the original AVX trans( rivet went through the final drive case)
I have so much more i could write, but feel free to call i am happy to answer questions; 774-240-8543
I love this car to death, but just have no need for the car as I have recently bought a golf TDI.
Everyone has been so helpful with me on this forum so i would like to see it go to someone who can appreciate it.

I can appreciate how attached you can get to something, even something that's inanimate. I certainly have with my project as I spent way more on it that it would be recovered should I decide to sell.
Having said that, I would highly recommend that you never say you "don't want to sell" something when you're selling it ;D.
That is if you DO want to actually sell it - and I mean that in a good way.

I haven't kept track of what i am into the car for, because i didn't mind spending money to do it right.
I would keep it if i could afford a second vehicle, so part of me will hate to see it go, but the money can help me out with some debts i would like to pay off.

bump, and details about the shift knob, EGT gauge added to the first post. I also replaced the drivers side rear window regulator and door handle this weekend.

I finally got some time to round up everything that will be sold with the car. It includes everything IDI related that i have, I dont have the time nor patience to part it all out individually. I hope it will sweeten the deal enough for somebody to give the car a new home. :)

The list includes:
full stock interior
full set of stock springs
original 2 piece seat belt b pillar trim
full 2 piece seat belt setup
2 additional gauge clusters worth of parts (1 assembled, 1 disassembled)
2 non turbo injection pumps (for parts use or will need a full rebuild)
extra set of tail lights (the amber has been tinted red. I like them and may put them on the car until it sells.)
Brand new in box clutch kit (bought before i looked at the clutch in the car. current clutch is still in great condition)
4 stock 14" wheels, 2 tires are bald, 2 are decent, all 4 have signs of dry rot.
Not pictured:
Original belly pan
Origina AVX transmission (possibly junk, definitely needs a new bell housing and overhaul to say the least)
Lots of goodies and it makes this car an even better deal.
As always, thanks for looking.

nice looking car! how does it sound with the muffler removed? Can you hear the turbo spool, to loud? I was thinking about doing the same to my eco.

I didn't really notice any noise different but if you listen real close you can hear the cute little turbo spool. The mileage gain with straight piping was a very favorable increase though, at least 2-3 mpg.

Details added to first post about AC system. BUMP!!!
The A/C works!!!!
-
Im in need of the original center caps and wheel rings. Is there any way you would sell these off separately? Either way, very nice eco! I hope to have mine looking this clean one day. Good luck with the sale.
-
sorry, whole thing goes as a package. I like that i have everything that originally came on it.
-
I was really hoping this would be gone by now.. I'm going to NY for the weekend of the 28th and i was hoping to have the ECO sold so i could take the golf by then. If not then the ECO will be making the trip.
-
price drop, 3200
-
The golf could use some injectors, so if you want to throw in some TDI injectors as part of the price i would be happy to work something out (may consider other TDI partial trades as well, such as an A4 trailer hitch or downpipe, but mostly i need cash.)

Bump, really looking to move this car sooner rather than later.
