Trying to upload thumbnails that enlarge when you click em - no luck so far
-
Why not just upload full size photos?
Personally I hate having to go over each picture and enlarge them.. waste of my time ;) haha.
-
I agree, full size is good. Thumbs down on the thumbnails.
-
think thats your forums software.. aka he loading here... it makes the thumb...
dont care... driiiive.com got best going... drag/drop pics as much as you want in the timeline.. click ones.. click arrow left/right to view any/all pics loaded in that area.. by dates added..

Thanks but it looks like the consensus is to stick with full size photos - I can already do that ;D
-
No i will not ignore :)
-
It is like he is double dog daring us or something. Ignore? What would that mean? We never follow directions, heck I bet most of us throw them away first thing we do when opening any thing labeled some assembly required.
Ignore, Not so much.
-
Exactly. He said to ignore it. Thats just an open invitation to send a link to every one i know and make them post here. I gotta get my post count up somehow. :)

AH SOO Sorry Gizmo. THIS: The moderators are welcome to remove this thread - no, I mean DONT remove it, ever
Will not work in the reverse mode. You blew it by saying they were "welcome" to remove it. You should have stated that the mods are never to remove this thread. And they would have showed you some love and WHACKED it with a big delete. But NOW! We are on to you and thus it will stay foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Picing in whorethread

I don't think I'll be having timing problems any time soon ;D
-
I for one prefer the smaller pictures with links. Sometimes my internet is painfully slow and I don't need to see 100 photos of someones something to get the idea about things.
-
Hmmm - good point. My reason (for smaller pics) is that it's tough to explain whats going on because the words are so far apart.
The thumbnails are there to get the gist of the message and if someone wants the detail, it's only a click away.
Maybe I should start a poll and let that decide - whatever it takes to make this post go away!
-
Point taken on the small gives more word time and less download time. I expect some of rural merica and parts north are limited in speed of Internet. Not a problem in Megatropolis. I only pay for the basic package and they keep upping the Mb/sec as a means of staying competitive I suppose. I was fine with the rate I had years ago. Finally booted the downstreaming college kids out and no more broadband problems.
Tough to decide but the BUMP photo is about right for word availability and picture size. I'm tempted to try an experiment here on resizing some pics and upload them to see where most feel good about the visual aspect of the picture and the ability to put some sort of description around it on the same eyespot.
Original at 940 wide
Straight off the camera to Photobucket, no editing or resize as a reference point.

I am trying to teach him to say I'm good and I bite hard! He has the first part down pat, not sure he will get the rest soon.

Yeah, this would work but it is just a tad on the large size for a quick look. But I wonder how it works on a screen of normal size? I have an HP HDX 18 Laptop and the screen is 1.5 times the width of a normal laptop. You tell me, works or doesn't work?

This one actually looks the right size to be sticking in more text and sort of kinda being able to read it all and not have it all on the line below the picture.

honestly.. 800pix wide is most forums will allow in width... i like 1200wide, my webpage stuff i run it.. but i rember dialup... 800 is a good dsl and pushes dialup..
-
Sounds like a plan Mr.
Personally 400 is my choice or even 300.
I use Picassa to upload right now and I don't know if it does (edit; get bigger when you click it) it or if it does, it's not obvious to me.
BTW. I realize the small photo is just a link to the larger one.
-
I'm losing information at 400, 600 looks nice on my cheap 21", and takes maybe 1/6 of the screen.

-
600 is good on my phone. I hate needing to scroll pictures no matter what I'm on.
-
On my monitor at home they all look good. I think it is 20" or 21".
-
Copy that ORcoaster
Western mass i believe is still awaiting broadband.....

Now if I could just teach Popeye to weld like MYKE! I am not sure what damages my hands more that beak or those tight nuts that make the wrenches slip.
