Can a ecm from a beetle be used in a jetta both TDI?

Yes. Some years will swap. Both cars must be the same; pre-immobiliser or the later immobiliser ECU which has more pins. PD motors and newer I'm unclear about. Early Beetles ECUs will fit 1999.5 -2000 year Jetta, and so on.

I thought that might be the case, engines are the same
