Title: WTB: Solid waterpump pulley for ecodiesel
Post by: VTPSD on April 16, 2013, 08:04:17 am
I am looking for a solid water pump pulley for my ecodiesel. My current setup has the alternator swung down into the position where the AC compressor used to be, and the power steering not hooked up. It is currently up and running using the original slipper pulley welded solid and a single belt that goes crank-water pump-alternator. I am hoping to find this illusive solid water pump pulley from a car that did not originally have PS or AC because my home made pulley has a bit of wobble, and I would rather get a factory pulley in there.

here is the pulley I want to replace for reference.

no i have... was just talking price w him on the set of 3.. which is how id go.. try to see if the stock non ac stuff lines up with your modded alt.. so belt thickness right... or just resell those and use th esolid one.. but rember ac belt wider then alt.. so the groove all wrong..

darn, I hadn't thought about that...I might keep with my setup for a bit and see how it does then. Its really not much of a wobble, not enough to even see it when it is running. I already have a couple spare belts for my setup and it was working nicely. It does sketch me out a bit given that I just tried to weld it evenly on 4 sides, no way its perfectly balanced anymore.
