I bolted up my manifolds, t3, and pan from my TD onto my NA in my car over the weekend, I'm very impressed! I installed my Autometer EGT and boost gauges tonight. I used a fuse tap for the keyable 12v power, currently using the rear windshield wiper socket since my car no longer has a wiper in the rear. The boost gauge works great, the EGT gauge flutters from 0-600 at idle, my car vibes alot even with the new motor mounts and I don't want to damage the new gauge. Where should i use 12v power from? The gauge seems accurate about 25% of the time.

sounds like the probe may need grounded? IDK, I have seen autometers that do need a ground. My aircraft spruce did not, but I have heard of issues with electric ones like you have and all seem to point to a direct ground being needed.

I haven't tried grounding the probe yet, been to lazy lately ;D. I called autometer, they told me to ground to the motor and clean the threads on the probe lightly. If nothing changes they want to replace the probe. I'll pull it up on the ramps tonight and I'll snap some pics too, they're mounted in the storage slot under my invisible stereo!

I got my egt gauge working today, pulled off the the heat shrink and both terminals were touching. I guess I used to harness backwards because I had to drill the terminals out a little to fit on the gauge. As far as pics go, my phone doesn't want to send pics to my email for some reason so I'll do what I can.

If it still acts up, twist and ground one end of the braided shielding, that will eliminate any interference. One end only, leave the other end loose.

Alrighty, thanks. So far so good, besides hitting 1400* in a short burst! I'm scared to bolt up the TD pump.

Why?? It doesn't inject any more fuel.

bigger delivery valves though right? That makes me feel like it can deliver more fuel, it'll find its way under the hood eventually.... I'll have to break down and get photobucket or something my pics aren't working.

Even if they were, which they aren't, that is not what determines amount of injected fuel.
If you have a turbo, a turbo pump will be more beneficial to keep the smoke and EGT's down.

Delivery valves are more like a check valve, they don't determine how much fuel is injected.

i have an autometer EGT gauge.. the harness has an end for the gauge, and an end for the probe, it only works one way, unless you drill out the terminals and install it backwards..
the connections for the probe are staggered so that it is quite impossible for them to touch.. provided you install the wiring harness in the proper orientation..
