Title: FS: rear main teflon seal and carrier. SOLD
Post by: theman53 on January 01, 2013, 12:08:38 pm
FS: Rear main teflon seal and carrier. I bought it for the ALH and didn't need it when I installed the clutch. I have one for my 1.6 as well and don't want to keep it around until the next project.

Pretty much every 8v gas or diesel from 75 to the ALH it will fit.

BTW, the teflon seal has no spring in it so that it will not cut into the crankshaft near as bad. It is a bonus to the good sealing.

I've never seen one before,.. and it even has a rubber seal built into where it sits against the oil pan.

Yes, I learned about them from my ALH and CRSMP5. They have an install tool in the center and you have to let the seal sit for at least an hour before turning the crankshaft. The teflon has to relax around it. If you rush it, the seal will leak.
