Title: manifold leaking

ok having troubles getting my turbo to seal on the manifold. tryed a hi temp sylicone and it still blew it out. thinking I have to make a layered steel/copper gasket. but not sure where to buy some thing like that

it's a metal on metal connection. if it's not sealing, and you're using the right bolts torqued properly, you'll need to have the sealing surface(s) remachined flat.

if ya had the manifold off you may be able to lap it at home,,turbo too,,,if ya had the turbo off is try lapping/surfacing that myself,,and check the manifold with a straightedge,,ya may be able to get lucky,,,,i know its metal to metal connection,,nogasket,,,but for safety iusually take some permatex ultra copper and just put like a thin thin dab around the port,,by a little imean enough tobarely leave color,,not a big nasty bead,,,if ya had a machine shop around,,it would be like 20-30 $ tosurface it,,,,,see i got a big nasty belt sander,,heehee,thats how i did mine,,at work,on smaller parts we use the same thing
