I would like to keep a governer but just raise it up a little more.
The Bentley gives you the procedure for doing that. Basically you just wind out the throttle stop screw to where you want it.
-
Yea i like to raise it a bunch that way the droop that kicks in a few hundred rpms before redline doesnt really" kick in" anymore..of course now you can overrev it but its not like a few rpms is gonna make it blow if ya miss a gear.
i tried it once but didnt like it was the governor mod that shims the intermediate spring or whatever so the mid rpm defuel doesnt occur..
when i tried it,the revs would hang between shifts...
maybe since i tried it back then, people have revised it
-
Yep, Its all about shimming the main spring now, not the intermediate.

Then hit me with the knowledge boyeee :)
