Look at the delivery valves on that pump, see how they come out on an angle?  Looks like a stanadyne pump,  very interesting, I'm not really into superchargers tho, and I'm not really sold on the whole misconception that superchargers give you boost faster.  I like the freespooling nature of a turbo where when u are going up a hill just accelerating in general all you have to do is give it more throttle and ucan get boost.  Unless ur already at a higher rpm you need to downshift with a supercharger.  The only time a supercharged really us an advantage is say you are just driving along and decide to suddenly down shift and take off.  Not that superchargers aren't cool, my brother has a supercharged slc and that thing flys

With my mechanical VNT15 on my 1.9 mTDI I can have 8 or 10 psi when I let out the clutch in first gear.

There is a ton going on in that pic. One of the things I am looking at is the alt driven on the back of the engine. And basically non of the pulleys on the front being correct to stuff we see. I wonder what engine it is?

Almost looks like a photoshop to me. The oil pan is at a weird angle. Some of the brackets and location of tubes, etc. doesn't make any sense as far as continuity.

It is actually a direct-injection spark ignition engine.....It is throttle like a diesel by increasing fuel delivery rate/volume, there is NO THROTTLE PLATE!!! http://g-lader.info/fahrzeuge_studien_irvw4futura.htm (http://g-lader.info/fahrzeuge_studien_irvw4futura.htm)

That thing is COOL! I always like looking at old concept cars.

this engine is 100% REAL...

the car it came in, was also 100% REAL..

and it DOES LOOK JUST LIKE the stanadyne pump i just put on an olds 5.7D..

and i really wonder how crack-prone that head was, with a spark bolt, and a fuel infector in each cylinder?!

probably no worse than the IDI heads... the void from the prechamber is significant when you include the glow plug holes and hte injector port too.
