like the heading asks, i have the oppt. to get a 84 jetta dash assb. and would like to know if it fit my pickup . i know the the looks the same as the cabriolet dash in the 85 model and the ft of what looks like a mk 1 so i assume it will fit , but remember dont assume . i am sure the eletrics are ce2 but can deal with that . any experence anyone?

Physically it will fit. I dont know if it uses differt bracing tho..
Also i am unsure if your cluster and that will work or are you getting those too??

84 would likely be pre-ce1 wiring..
i dont think the wiring is the same between a jetta and a rabbit tho..

thanks for the input , i would get all the wireing cluster and fuse box ect with it.it more if it would phisically fit.

yes it fits..... but get the bracesbrackets that boltscrew in place and the welded ones...

But I've been wondering if a jetta grill and headlight assembly will fit on a mk1 rabbit 81.
Would you need the radiator support?

no its too different... fenders and core support.. the bottoms way different shape

If you have a good mk1 Jetta grille and associated parts, hold onto them. I rarely ever see those on the road around here, or in the junkyards. They've become really rare. Rabbits are much more common.
