It is a wire bit about 3 inches long and an inch wide. There are two floating black plastic clips that hold on to the end of the cruise and the throttle.
It looks like part #35

part number 068130365A
Mine won't stay on the ball ends any more, there are fingers broken.
It is for my 86 jetta.
Thanks

I think Giles has one on the shelf.

they wear out... a piece of cable, 2 eye lets... your golden... just make sure the cable flexes/bends easily... need it to deform when go pedal pressed... turning cruise on pulls it tight...

Thanks burn your money and burnt toast,
I'll give giles a heads up.
I had thought about just making a link up. Frankly I am a bit worried about the link hooking around something like the fuel inlet. There isn't much room below the link on my car.

get pedal and actuator assembly from a passat b3 or b4. it moves the diaphragn inside the car and frees up a little space under the hood.
