Title: 2001 Jetta Glove box
Post by: theman53 on August 18, 2012, 04:10:54 pm
I feel like I am missing something. I bought a glove box for the 01 TDI as it has a busted one. It wouldn't fit. There was a bracket in the way. Is that bracket ok to take off? The car has an air bag and I don't want to ruin that or anything. Anyone knows let me know. I have searched the TDI and vortex with no good results. Must not have the correct terms to even search well. Thanks if you got anything.

Your new glove box is for a later model car. There is a thread over on vw vortex that goes over the installation procedure, but from what I remember, you cut out part of the bracket that gets in the way. Also, the glove box light is different between the two.
