I need to adjust my steering and I prematurely tightened my tierods down before I checked them. Now I can't seem to get them apart. Any ideas? Bigger sledgehammer???? ;D

loosen lock nut on tie rod... turn tie rod???
remove lock nut from spindle.. hit spindle on its edge where it goes thru with hammer till pops..

you don't need to take it off to adjust it just use a wrench and turn the hexed part of the tie rod left or right in order to adjust the toe. did you install a manual rack in place of p/s?

yes it is a manual steering rack. I am just having trouble getting it to release from spindle so I can turn it.

It won't turn when still attached to the spindle though ???

Turn the other piece.

turn the TIE ROD.. not the tie rod end..

there should be a hexed section to use a 14mm wrench to turn it.

I am not getting any resistance on the clutch pedal :( I was hoping it would be smoother since I replaced the clutch and throw out bearing, but the only resistance is the spring. Not feeling any clutch resistance at all.
