Title: Any hints on separating the tierod from the spindle?
Post by: mtnbob on August 12, 2012, 12:04:13 am
I need to adjust my steering and I prematurely tightened my tierods down before I checked them. Now I can't seem to get them apart. Any ideas? Bigger sledgehammer???? ;D

you don't need to take it off to adjust it just use a wrench and turn the hexed part of the tie rod left or right in order to adjust the toe. did you install a manual rack in place of p/s?

there should be a hexed section to use a 14mm wrench to turn it.

I am not getting any resistance on the clutch pedal :( I was hoping it would be smoother since I replaced the clutch and throw out bearing, but the only resistance is the spring. Not feeling any clutch resistance at all.

Just when I thought it was going well
