Title: Is there supposed to be a washer in between tge tensioner nut and the tensioner?
Post by: Turbofan on July 06, 2012, 11:12:40 am
I took this thing apart a couple weeks ago, and some of my hardware was moved. I don't remember pulling a washer off with the nut when I took the t-belt tensioner off, but it doesn't feel right putting it together without a flat washer or lock washer. Thanks.

There was definitely a washer under mine. Nothing special, just a flat washer.

Thanks all. Now I'll have some piece of mind. Funny thing is that the exploded picture in my Bently doesn't show one. Then again, it's a pretty poor black and white picture anyway, so even if it was there it may not be visible.

srgtlord the flat washer goes between the nut and the tensioner.  The tensioner goes flat up to the block.  I think you're OK on what you have going.

It not a flat washer. Supposed to be a 'thrust washer'. Looks a little wavy.
