Saw this on e-bay. Part number is a lot like for a 1.6 motor but intake ports, the biggish looking valves (i might wrong there) and the valve cover mounting points make it seem like a 1.9 liter head ???
Maybe an Audi (or Volvo???)

1.9 head

RustyCaddy, You looking for a 1.6 head? I saw this one in Eugene but I don't think it is diesel. Ports in back? http://eugene.craigslist.org/pts/3098486874.html
I am rebuilding my 1.6 as it has an injector boss crack under the #1 injector. Must be the season to be rebuilding.

Dale, those were ALL gasser parts..
diesels have injector ports on the FRONT of the head, not on the back. only gassers had port injection.
-
Kind of what I thought. Those holes just didn't add up with the front of the cam off to the right like that. He only had it listed as a 1.6 head with no qualifiers.
-
he had it listed correctly.. it WAS a 1.6 head. just for a gasser.. lol.

Thanks for the tip about Craiglist and letting me know it is for a 1.9 liter. That is a weird part number...not what i thought would be for an AAZ anyways. Maybe for a industrial motor?
For some reason i want to use a 1.9 liter head on 1.6 turbo block with a K14...not like i would get a lot more power without a big turbo and intercooling but maybe better mpg's.

there is no benefit to the 1.9 head unless you want a bunch of boost.
the lower compression makes it start harder, and make it get WORSE MPG.. the high compression makes it REALLY efficient..
