Title: 1.6na injection pump questions

This is side view of my pump.. what is the lever on the side for?  Is this causing my hard to idle when warm situation?  The other pump I have does not have this lever?  Do I need to modify this lever for the pump to work properly on my na?

thats a manual kill lever for a autotragic.... standard you dump the clutch...
