Title: Honing, not sure of TP
Post by: rodpaslow on June 21, 2012, 08:54:12 am
I'm just starting to hone my bores getting ready to get everything back together.  In FAQ it's suggested (I think great) to use a wooden dowel rapped in foam covered TP with ATF.  What is TP?  ATF is auto trans fluid -correct?

Yes, TP = toilet paper IMO ( this is in Toby's fairly recent writeup).  Of course, he not talking about the honing itself, but the cleanup afterwards.

I don't think I'm going to use TP then.  I was planning on using the blue paper - is there any reason for using TP?  I know the paper towel I use does not disintegrate like TP.
