Title: 89 Jetta N/A to TD little or no throttle
Post by: dieselherb1 on April 29, 2012, 06:21:53 pm
I swapped a 89 Jetta N/A into caddy, installed T3 turbo (engine had a altitude adj pump) Ihad the engine on the ground bolted to the trans and it was running fine without turbo. Now in the truck little or no engine speed above idle. Ran fuel from a bottle to pump no change. Thoughts?

How much did you mess with the pump?

It would seem that you have a throttle issue. Or a fueling issue, as it ran fine on the stand/floor.

is there an air restriction in the turbo? Paper, mouse nest, etc?

how did you hook up the alt part of the pump?

didn't mess with pump at all, turbo is spinng fine. Could the pin-shalf on the diaphragm cause a interference with the throttle?
