Title: wipers quit working out of nowhere

Ok, so my wipers stopped working, I havent even checked fuses yet, but was weird, drove it to work with wipers going, parked in parking lot, got back in car to go home and they werent working. I plan on checking fuses after the weather clears up, any advice on normal wiper problems on an 89 gasser golf?

Water leaking onto the fusebox and filling the relay with water. That'd be my first guess after fuses

was a fuse... What made it blow? Dont know! Put a spare in and worked fine!

heater blower still blow???  if not the x relay bad... powers both wipers/blower
