Title: WTB: stock downpipe for 86 Jetta

need a downpipe for my 86 Jetta TD stock or anything else will do just looking for an inexpensive solution for my new beater. after I get a good downpipe on there everything behind it has to be replaced also. can get bosal online shipped for like 40 or so, woindering if anyone has a GOOD used one they want to sell first or trade for some of the stuff I have in my pile.

oh, you want the exhaust HEADER PIPE, not the actual turbo downpipe, correct?

yup.. header pipe..

downpipe is cast iron.. head pipe is aluminized steel tubing..

i cant help you with pieces tho, because i only have a mk2 downpipe, not a header pipe..

FYI...

The ETKA refers to the cast iron exhaust section ( no.15) as an "exhaust elbow". The section of exhaust that I am looking for (no.2) is called an "exhaust pipe".

you might want to make a note of that for future reference.

not everyone (almost nobody) calls parts by their official EKTA name..

if you ask 20 people here on the forum for a downpipe for an 86 TDjetta, 19 people will offer you up a cast iron downpipe, and the other 1 will offer the header pipe..

I don't have a problem with your posts dude. All I'm saying is if you go to the dealer or aftermarket to buy OEM parts you might want to have an accurate description so they know what you're talking about, or when buying/selling used parts online.
