Title: AHU to AAZ cluster

So I found an instrument cluster on ebay for a 99 tdi. Looks identical to the one in my 96 IDI. Will a AHU engine cluster maych up to a Canadian AAZ ?

nope, not even a little bit..

the tachs read from different sources..

the lights and other gauges will work, but the tach will freak out..

Pretty sure RoR is exactly right on that.
The AHU is a fully electronic TDI with ECU, etc...

If you make a listing in the For Sale / Wanted section - you'll get some better exposure and more than likely have some options pretty quickly from the Canadian members. They had AAZ option from 93-97.

if you install a TDI tach in an IDI car, it will read about 4000 at idle, and then bounce all over the place when revved, IIRC..
