Title: early AAZ downpipe on Mk2 Jetta 1.6 TD
Post by: ilikevwdiesel on February 29, 2012, 12:30:28 pm
anyone ever successfully mounted a square flange AAZ downpipe on a Mk2 Jetta with a 1.6 TD engine? wondering if it can be done or does it hit the crossmember or the rack. would like to put one of these

on my jetta but don't want to find out the hard way if there's a clearance issue.

ALSO: does anyone have an AAZ downpipe and if so can you tell me the bolt hole center to center distance on the three bolt outlet flange that the cat bolts to. thanks!

(moderator if this can be moved to the IDI section please do so if this is not the proper place for this topic.)

I have an AAZ downpipe from a 1994 on a 1.6TD.  Bolts up just fine.  Mine is in a Mk III but as mentioned in another thread, the A2/A3 is identical as far as the exhaust fitment goes.
