Me and Nat traded the mk5 TDI in, we got this

2012 Golf 2.5 5 speed Trendline, I know it's not a TDI but I couldn't afford one lol but I love it

What kind of mileage are you getting out of the 2.5? I rented a 2012 jetta with the 2.5 drove it about 400 miles mostly highway and I think I pulled about 26mpg. It was a rental so I did have to beat on it some but I must say I was underwhelmed by the mileage and pretty much everything else about the motor. Maybe it was the slushbox that was killing me?

The autos are harder on gas, The window sticker says 46mpg, I got 650kms on my first tank with it all highway, once the summer comes around I'm hoping to see mid 30mpg to low 40s,

no way youre going to get into the 40 much less the mid 30s. My best friend has a 2008 2.5gas rabbit, doesnt get much better than 26mpg and MAYBE 30 on 100% highway. roughly 9.25L/100km

My last tank was 730kms mix on 55l of gas, and i held it a bit more, my car is rated for 46mpg but theres times im averagin 5-6l /100 kms,
