Title: WTB Turbo Seal VW # N0282231 or equiv

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a seal VW # N0282231 or equivelant.
It has been coming up as NLA thru VW.
Application: 85 Quantum 1.6TD FWD (NOT AWD)
It is a rubber "packing" (flat sides- NOT rounded sides like an "O" ring)
It fits between the turbo center section (cartrige) and the 2 bolt flange(which the oil return hose attaches to)
Turbo is a Garret T3
It is NLA thru Local dealer.
I have ordered it thru several online VW dealers,only to recieve an email days later-that it's NLA.
Does anyone know where I can get this part or what it can be safely replaced with ?
This seal is holding up my 1.6TD Fox Wagon Build
Any help is GREATLY appreciated !

Try WorldImpex.com.  They have a VW dealer contact in Germany.  NLA sometimes means that there aren't any parts in the North American depots, but not necessarily unavailable from Europe.  There have been a couple of times when something was NLA in the US, but World Impex was able to get it from overseas.  They get the stuff surprisingly quickly too.  Usually just a couple of weeks.

I just created an acct with them and ordered 2 of those seals.
(hopefully I won't get the same NLA email )

The more resources the better,when dealing with hard to find parts.

Try G Pop shop, they have a lot of turbo stuff.

Thanks for the suggestion. I purchased my turbo rebuild kit from them,but they couldn't get the seal.

$4.59 and its called a washer.
I can't guarantee accuracy, i just searched the number you supplied on their website.

Have found MANY NLA items through them.
Great Resource.

If it pans out, you can thank me, - but -

I would have never found them otherwise, i don't think.
