Title: '82 Audi 5000 TD for sale
Post by: Toby on November 04, 2011, 05:42:32 pm
It has come time for me to let go of my prized '83 Audi 5000 TD. They only
imported these cars for 2 years and they are highly prized by their
owners. This one is white with only 125K miles on it; the last 20K on
BD. I has a rebuilt engine and transaxle. The body is straight and the
paint shines. The factory wheels are in good shape with recent Michelin
tires. The leather interior is clean for its age, but not perfect.
Electric sunroof. All of the TDs were 4 door sedans with the special
E-matic transmission. This has a free wheeling option in the "E" range in the trans to improve
fuel mileage, which runs about 35 mpg combined if I keep it under 70 or
so on the freeway. Recent cam belt, water pump, valve service, and
filters. Lifetime K&N air filter. Lower you carbon footprint in style and comfort for only $3200. Can arrange shipping. Email for
pics if interested.

Yeah. I have been having problems being "ghosted" by CL. At least this time they just flagged my ad. I was selling off a bunch of stuff six months ago to pay the morgage and came to the attention of Craig Newmark's pud puller brigade. Sex ads for the most perverse s*%t are just fine, but post too many car ads and be relegated to the shadows. Now I know why so many people use $1 or just 2 digits under "price".

It could have been someone who wanted to lowball you as well.  I had that happen to me a few times on Kijiji.   Someone "flags" it as inappropriate or some such, it gets removed and then a few days later they email you and lowball you.   I presume they hope that you won't know your ad was removed and take the lowball offer because you haven't had any response.

That only works if they have some way of contacting you after the ad is flagged off. I had no emails before it was flagged off, so that can't be it. I have been "ghosted" recently so I am sure it was the CL pud pullers at work. It was flagged off w/in minutes.
