On the front strut on the jetta does the shock absorber come out of the strut like a cartage?
Or do i have to order the whole strut?
Thanks, Corey
-
i THINK that they made cars both ways, but i think most of them you just drop in a new cartridge..
-
It all depends on whether you have the original struts, probably not so what have they been replaced with in the last 30 years?
-
I really do think mine are stock struts, The struts are welded to the so called cartridge or shock. And the only place i know who sells the whole strut is worldimpex.com and parts place which is crazy priced
Does anyone else know where to get them. Or whos running aftermarket brand struts

Here are sachs at $56 each

How expensive and what brand were the others you found?
