Title: NHA Maryhill Hillclimb.
Post by: Powered by Spearco on September 29, 2011, 02:20:38 am
Last weekend was the first anual Northwest Hillclimb Association held at Maryhill in Goldendale, WA.
It was my first time at road racing let alone hill climbing. There was 60 cars there ranging from stock to highly modified custom cars. I decided to run my '78 Rabbit with a 3A bubble block 2.0L in the the car class called OSPU. Over Stock Production Under 3.0L.  I'm running with slicks, Raceland coils, no sway bars, light weight aluminium wheels and 10 in. brakes. There was a total of four cars in this class including me. The others were another Rabbit, a Corrola and a Miata. My brother Co. drove my car as well. His times were the one to beat on Saturday at 2:19.775. On Sunday I beat that time with a 2:19.553. The Corrola got a time of 2:19.339. So I got second for the event which is a record in my class.

Heres a pic of me and the car. Video  of corse coming soon.

Looks like that would be fun.
Is that the road that runs  parallel to highway 97 on the east side?
