I had an '85 190d for a winter. Loved it, but hated the automatic. My Rabbit was about 10 times more fun to drive though, better mileage, cheaper ect, so I ditched it.....Everyone has a phase I guess :P The W201 is a wonderful piece of engineering though, I'll have another someday.

That red one had 24 valve engine too when my friend bought it few years ago. He wanted more power and changed 2,8 gasser. Dynoed 560hp (disapointed) and drove 11,5/127mph at quarter. Nice daily driver ;D Best with diesel was 426hp and 12,8/~112mph. Om606 is easily capable lots of more power.
