Post by: chrisg on September 09, 2011, 03:19:13 pm
story is, it has a fresh head gasget as of a week and half ago. car worked wonderfully, now all the sudden i flashed it up yesterday afternoon after sitting over night and i drove it around the block as it just billllllowed white smoke everywhere. and theres coolant in the oil. I'm baffled pissed, and pretty much about to light the car on fire and roast marshmellows

How warped was the head and block? 1.6 or 1.9? Metal or fiber gasket?

btw, yes it is possible, I've done it before >:(

Tell us more about your head gasket job. Did you do the hot engine re-torque sequence? How about the 1,000 km sequence? I did a head gasket job (my first ever) on mine about a month ago and asked a lot of questions. Too many to some but I'm glad I did since it turned out good. 3,000 miles later and all is well, knock on wood.
