Title: Egt gauge works only when cold ?

My egt gauge works perfect when the engine is cold, when it heats up the gauge some times bounces the needle or will read low or not at all. Does this sound like a poor connection or a worn thermocouple? It always reads when cold.

Check all the connections first. Than I would replace the sender.
