Title: WTB 1.6 TD fan/motor

Guys, I've got an MK1 with 1.6 NA dsl, and am wanting to upgrade the fan and motor assy on it.

I've read on the forums here that the TD fan is 6 blade, versus the 4 blade on mine, and that it is 280mm dia, which matches the OD of my existing fan.

Anybody got a good unit they want to sell ? I'm in NC 27613 zip...

I just bought a brand new one for $45 bucks. That's after spending $60 for a used one from a junkyard that ended up not working  >:(. Check the worldpac/autohauz sites. The new ones have 6 blades and are significantly smaller and lighter than the old oem ones.

Thanks my friend. Only problem is, I can't buy directly from Worldpac, so I'm assuming you mean through one of their distributors. I'll check out Carquest tomorrow. Again, thanks for the (quick) feedback !
