Title: Don't buy Sealed Power Intake Valves for AAZ
Post by: erice1984 on August 05, 2011, 05:10:47 pm
I say again don't buy their intake valves.

Reason I say this, is because they stated on the RockAuto.com website their stem diameter is 7.925mm

I called Sealed Power to confirm this and they said that it is correct.

Bentley states new intake valve stem diameter of 7.970mm.
Bentley also states wear limit on said valves of 7.920mm.

.05mm is the equivalent to .002" rounded up (.0017")

Dang, I think I had 8 per valve intake and ex. If you still need them. I had around 60.00 in all 8v. The OEM sodium filled ex valve is almost that.

I paid waaaay more than that from aircooled engines plus, I think it came out to almost $15 per valve.

Does Air Cooled Engines Plus supply oversize stainless AAZ valves as well? Does anyone know what kind of stainless material they use?
