Title: removing glowplugs to lower CR
Post by: burn_your_money on July 26, 2011, 01:24:18 pm
Has anyone ever done this? Obviously you wouldn't want to do this on a daily, unless something like the cummins grid heater proved effective.

Any idea how much it would drop the CR?

I'm not sure how much it would lower CR although it seems easily calculatable (sp?). Then, once they are out, you can use the threaded hole as part of a head reinforcement girdle!

Just start the car, and swap em out one at a time ;D

could always maybe use a hollowed at plug to lower the cr even further, i've thought about this before as well, but with out knowing any of the cc numbers it hard to say how much difference it could make.  i'm sure u can find the combustion chamber volumes on this forum, i think i've seen them before

I think some people have done this, IDK how effective it is though.
