Title: 1.6 hydro lifter in 1.6 mechanical car?
Post by: myvolkswagen on May 20, 2011, 02:48:25 pm
I found a hydro 1.6td and i have a mechanical 1.6td car with 200psi compression. I was wondering if the wiring works for the hydro engine? are all the connectors for the wiring the same or does wiring need to be lengthened etc.. thanks

it bolts in..

this is definitely the weirdest question ive ever heard..

lol, usually people are wondering about a different head, you want a different engine..

theres no differences in the wires..

well my engine is worn out and i dont want the hassle of solid lifters and valve adjustments. I know there is like one wire that goes to the engine which is the fuel shut off  so i guess it was kind of a stupid question but i have never physically looked at a hydro engine so maybe there was extra wiring i didnt know about. thanks and sorry if it was a dumb question

i got a beat up 1.5 head casting.. theres no valves or anything. its busted up, not runnable anymore..

could use a gasser head too.. the side that matters is all the same..
