Title: VNT15 and vacuum diaphragm positioning
Post by: dubCanuck1 on January 24, 2006, 12:17:11 am
Hi guys,

Just posted on my problem in the TDI section, but figured the IDI crowd may have a quick answer for an alternate idea. Does the vacuum diaphragm on a VNT15 need to be oriented in the stock position? Can it be rotated/moved to face slightly differently?

Thanks. Here's a pic of the problem and why I hare-brained that idea. The turbo housing has another bolt that the bracket could move up, so if it was possible, I would have just moved the housing up a few of those. I supposed it would involve altering the resting position of the little rotating arm (for lack of the proper technical term). The middle section is oriented 12:00/6:00 as you mentioned.
